im not sure if its the sunshine, the warm weather, or the fact that im finally out of a depression fog, but i wanna have fun! the version of myself that is supremely silly and a little bit self obsessed has been dormant for far too long and the buck stops here (or whatever they say).
when you go through a period of avoidance and dormancy it can be really tough getting out of your shell and reemerging as your truest self again. you can find yourself stuck in this loop of “ok i don’t quite feel 100% yet so once i feel 100% then i will, fill in the blank (reply to those texts, see that friend, go to that thing).
but now that im at a solid 80% (this is a huge deal) and able to reflect on chapters where i felt my most me, i realize that it actually came down to all those things. its the taking yourself out to the beach and enjoying your own company, its blasting music and dancing in the mirror, its saying yes to the friends who just want to see you again, its spending quality time and sometimes quality money on shit that makes you feel incredible. the euphoria i get from doing my hair and putting on an outfit i love is unmatched. i’ve been too serious, and too hard on myself for an ungodly amount of time and as they say “you can really just decide on a random tuesday that you are so back”.
so in an effort to have more me, more whimsy, and sooo much more joy in my life, ive compiled a massive edit of pure unadulterated fun. from silly graphic tees, lots and lots of color, and majorly fun prints.
because with all due respect, it really never was, that serious.

ok this has been on my wishlist for soo long. i love the polka dot moment but the silhouette and sleeves really seal the deal for me.
personally i think we would all be happier if we had a little bit more fun in bed (even if that fun is mostly just wearing fun pjs and watching cartoons while eating a bowl of cereal).
normally im anti-jelly anything, it just usually feels too juvenile, too cheap, or both but something about this one has me rethinking my stance. i think it's both the shape and the tonal trim that makes it feel a bit more elevated.
this is actually big enough to wear as a top but my favorite method is definitely around the waist or on my head. and because of the extra length it looks gorgeous in the back when tied as a head scarf.

i just bought a midi fringe skirt from Zara so im having a little bit of a fixation for it right now but especially love that this reads like a skirt but really they’re shorts.
and finishing off with a bang— i soo badly need alfie in my life. i want a set, i want the skort, but i think i may just start with the supremely sexy backless top.
